Massive art festival with over 500 artists to take over Vancouver district
The 29th Eastside Culture Crawl will occur in East Vancouver from November 20 to 23, drawing over 45,000 visitors to witness the work of more than 500 artists across 80 buildings, including 20 newly added venues. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage directly with artists in their studios, showcasing diverse mediums such as painting, sculpture, and textiles. The festival will feature a 2025 Preview Exhibition, themed “Passion, Reason, Idiocy,” running from November 6 to 30 at three venues, displaying juried works from 78 artists. The Eastside Arts Society is also organizing fundraisers, including the Take Flight event, which includes an art draw and a silent auction with unique prizes. Outdoor screenings of short films will be presented as part of the 12th Annual Eastside Culture Crawl Film and Video Exhibition from November 13 to 16.
Additionally, the Talking Art series will host three online panels addressing various artistic themes and practices. This annual event highlights the vibrant artistic community of East Vancouver and fosters deeper connections between artists and the public. The crawl not only celebrates local culture but also supports artists through fundraising initiatives.
