This free public art exhibit will light up an East Vancouver building in November

The Glass City will transform a Vancouver building into an art display visible only at night, running from November 18 to 30, 2025. Organized by Painter8, the installation will feature projections of original artwork from seven local artists, all members of the society. The display will take place in a building located on Adanac Street, accessible to anyone walking by. This project utilizes Vancouver's architectural landscape, particularly its glass-covered buildings, to create a unique cultural experience. Author Douglas Coupland emphasizes this glass architecture in his book "City of Glass.

" The art exhibit is free and open to the public, allowing community members to engage with the artwork. The installation aims to reflect the distinct character of Vancouver while serving as an artistic landmark. Projections will be visible nightly from 6 to 9 p. m. , making it a prominent evening attraction.
