The ARC Gloria, a flagship of the Colombian Navy, visited North Vancouver on Wednesday, where it received a ceremonial 17-gun salute around 9:30 a. m. The RCMP reassured residents that the loud noises were part of the welcoming ceremony and posed no threat. This 57-year-old training vessel for cadets acts as a “floating ambassador” for Colombia, emphasizing its role in promoting cultural and economic exchanges.
