Driver fatally strikes pedestrian near Langley-U.S. border

A driver fatally struck a pedestrian near 264 Street and 0 Avenue in Aldergrove on Tuesday morning. First responders arrived around 6:45 a. m. , but despite immediate life-saving measures, the pedestrian died at the scene. The driver remained at the location and is fully cooperating with Langley RCMP, who do not suspect alcohol was a factor in the incident.

Images from the scene depict a damaged silver Buick sedan with Washington plates, indicating the driver may have crossed the border. Two shoes belonging to the pedestrian were found on the ground near the vehicle, highlighting the tragic nature of the accident. Authorities have closed 264 Street for investigation and are warning drivers to expect delays in the area.
