Police investigate assault, robbery in New Westminster park

New Westminster police are investigating a robbery that took place last week in Moody Park, prompting an appeal for public assistance in identifying three suspects. Officers arrived at the lacrosse rink shortly after 5:20 p. m. to assist two victims who reported being confronted by a group of young men. One suspect punched a victim in the face and stole cash from his wallet.

The suspects are described as around 18 years old; one wore a red sweatshirt, another donned blue jeans, and the third rode a black electric scooter while wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and a yellow puffer vest. Authorities searched the area but did not locate the suspects. The NWPD emphasizes the importance of community involvement in resolving such incidents.
