Car crashes through front of Surrey bank, police say

A two-vehicle collision on Saturday evening led to a car crashing into the RBC Royal Bank in Surrey, resulting in significant damage. According to the Surrey Police Service, the incident occurred around 6:30 p. m. when a southbound vehicle making a left turn was struck by a northbound vehicle, which then mounted the curb and crashed into the bank’s front. Photos from the scene show extensive destruction, including broken glass and compromised walls and ceiling tiles.

One of the drivers sustained minor injuries and was transported to a hospital, while both drivers are cooperating with the investigation. Police confirmed that impairment does not appear to be a contributing factor. The investigation aims to determine the exact cause of the crash. Such incidents raise concerns about traffic safety in the area, underscoring the need for vigilance among drivers.
