Billboards being set up to help locate missing 11-year-old Burnaby boy

Vancouver, BCLocal News

The Burnaby RCMP has unveiled a billboard initiative to help locate missing 11-year-old Kai Pavlovic, who has been unaccounted for since a well-being check request on September 26. Cpl. Laura Hirst highlighted the critical role of community engagement, saying, “We want everyone to be on the lookout for Kai. ” The police are also distributing a Serbian-language news release to reach out to Kai's family and the Serbian community, where they believe he may have connections. Authorities suspect that Kai might currently be with a caretaker, and they are trying to identify this individual.

Additionally, police encourage parents whose children have participated in activities with Kai to come forward with information. The absence of an Amber Alert stems from the situation not meeting the criteria for imminent danger or confirmed abduction. Police continue to search tirelessly for Kai, stressing the importance of community assistance in their efforts. This case highlights the need for proactive measures in locating missing children and ensuring their safety.
