Potluck Hawker will close on October 19 after five successful years in Cambie Village, where it became known for dishes like Mama Cheung's Laksa and salted egg yolk-tossed fried chicken. Owners Justin Cheung and Dominic Sai shared their pride in exceeding expectations and becoming a community cornerstone. They will convert the space into Street Hawker 2. 0, which is set to open this winter with a revamped menu that pays homage to their roots. Street Hawker, launched in spring 2023, is celebrated for its bold-flavored burgers and unique fries.

The new location will continue to innovate while honoring the legacy of Potluck. Cheung and Sai expressed gratitude to the community for their support over the years. This transition reflects their commitment to adapting to changing circumstances while maintaining a connection to their culinary heritage. The closure marks a bittersweet moment for the Cambie Village community.
