The Coast Mental Health Courage To Come Back Awards are now accepting nominations for 2026, celebrating individuals who have shown remarkable courage in facing mental health challenges. The awards feature four categories: Medical, Addiction, Mental Health, and Youth, targeting nominees aged 19 to 25. Omar Bseiso, the 2025 Youth recipient, highlights the importance of personal choices in shaping one's life. David Chalk, recognized in the Mental Health category, overcame significant cognitive challenges and now aims to help others learn to read. Stan Price, the 2025 recipient for Addiction, reflects on his journey from addiction to helping others break the cycle.

"It’s never too late to turn that around and make a difference," he asserts. The nomination deadline is January 21, 2026, while the awards gala will occur on May 28, 2026, at the Vancouver Convention Centre. This event raises essential funds for British Columbians living with mental illness, underscoring the community's ongoing commitment to mental health advocacy.
