Steubenville's annual Dean Martin Festival celebrates the legacy of the legendary entertainer, drawing visitors from across the Tri-State Area and beyond. Kicking off Thursday at the Berkman Amphitheater, the festival features performances by George Snyder, Lee Dean, and the Vince Villanova Big Band. The Spot Bar will host a Dean Martin karaoke contest, along with a meatball eating contest on Friday. Additionally, the inaugural Dean Martin Association Charity Golf Scramble will benefit the Ohio Valley Health Center, emphasizing the community's commitment to local health initiatives. A Dino Dash 5K run will occur Saturday morning, followed by a parade celebrating Martin's impact on entertainment.

The festival also includes a telethon-style reunion honoring Martin and Jerry Lewis’ partnership with the Muscular Dystrophy Association. Events reflect the community's pride in its heritage and Martin's contributions to American culture. The festival serves as a vibrant reminder of Steubenville's connection to the entertainment icon born there in 1917.

Weirton man sentenced in sexual abuse case

Completion of exterior lighting at Stanton and John Gregg Elementary schools is expected by the end of October.
