The City of Weirton is launching a summer concert series to enhance community engagement and revive Friday night events. The City Council approved a $25,000 budget for this initiative during a meeting on Monday. The first concert, featuring The Fantasy’s, is set for Friday at the Weirton Event Center, with gates opening at 6 p. m. Parks Director Coty Shingle highlighted the concerts' potential to attract visitors from Hancock and Brooke counties as well as neighboring Ohio and Pennsylvania.
