Edison High School students explored career options by shadowing teachers at Stanton Elementary through the Passion Project program, which promotes real-world experience in various fields. Freshmen Mady Cornell and Kelsi Holland participated in this initiative, which allows students to gain insights into potential careers beyond their Information Technology pathway. CTE Interactive Media Pathway instructor Emily Waggoner emphasized the importance of creating digital portfolios that students can present to employers or colleges. Feedback from teachers highlighted the students' potential, with Cornell assisting in Julie Cronin’s second-grade class and Holland in Stephanie Thornley’s first-grade class. Both students reported valuable learning experiences, with Cornell noting the importance of job skills and Holland expressing her passion for teaching.

The program aims to boost students' confidence and clarify their future career aspirations. Waggoner hopes to see continued growth and success as more students participate in the program. This initiative aligns with broader educational goals of preparing students for the workforce.
