Summer Concert Series moves into high gear

Steubenville's Summer Concert Series, featuring Magic Moments and The Fantasy, begins this Thursday at Berkman Amphitheater. Celebrating its 19th year, the series provides free concerts every Thursday at 7 p. m. Paul Zuros, Director of Historic Fort Steuben, noted the lineup includes various musical genres, ensuring "something to please everyone. " Upcoming acts include tribute bands and local musicians, with a special performance by the U.

S. Army Field Band's Jazz Ambassadors on June 23. The annual cost to run the series is approximately $32,000, funded through sponsorships and community donations collected at events. Food vendors will offer a selection of snacks while attendees are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs. Zuros highlighted the collaborative effort involved in organizing the series, which includes local volunteers and support from the City of Steubenville.

The concert series runs until July 31, aiming to enhance community spirit through live music.
