Creek students offer free dinner to Mingo seniors
The Indian Creek National Honor Society organized a homemade pasta dinner for over 40 senior citizens in Mingo Junction, demonstrating community spirit. NHS President Marshal Houser's initiative brought together club members to create the meal, utilizing more than 100 pounds of flour and several dozen eggs. The event was held at St. Agnes Catholic Church, showcasing a partnership with local organizations. Rev.
James Dunfee and Giuseppi DiGristina from Pastaio Cucina restaurant contributed their support to the event. NHS adviser Julie Robinson and Michele Fabbro provided recipes, further enriching the experience. This collaboration offered students a practical learning opportunity while fostering connections with local seniors. The dinner not only served a nutritional purpose but also aimed to strengthen community bonds. Such events play a crucial role in promoting intergenerational engagement and support within the region.
