Kyle Manzardos homer in the 9th inning propels Guardians to 2-1 victory over Twins

Toronto, OHSports

Kyle Manzardo's walk-off homer in the ninth inning led the Cleveland Guardians to a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Twins, snapping a three-game losing streak. Emmanuel Clase secured the win after a scoreless ninth inning, marking the second walk-off win for the Guardians this season. Bo Naylor also homered, driving a fastball into the right-field stands to give Cleveland a 1-0 lead in the third inning. Ty France's solo shot in the fifth inning tied the game for Minnesota, which had its four-game winning streak halted. The game began after a lengthy 3-hour, 10-minute weather delay due to thunderstorms.

France has recorded an RBI in four consecutive games. The Guardians previously won their home opener against the Chicago White Sox on April 8 with a bases-loaded walk. RHP Pablo López is set to pitch for Minnesota against Cleveland's RHP Luis Ortiz in their next matchup.
