Bruins edge East Fairmont in extra innings, 9-8

The Brooke baseball team triumphed over East Fairmont 9-8 in an extra inning match on Tuesday, marking their second consecutive close win on the road. The Bruins initially fell behind 3-1 but rallied to take a 5-3 lead and extended it to 8-5 as they entered the final inning. East Fairmont responded with three runs in the seventh to tie the game, pushing it into extra innings. In the eighth, Gino Provenzano delivered the decisive RBI groundout, finishing with four RBIs for the game. Zac O’Mery had a standout performance with a triple and two RBIs, and Aiden Provenzano added three hits, including two doubles.

Parker McMahon, who was the winning pitcher, contributed a double and an RBI, while Andrew Murdock struck out three batters over five innings. With this victory, Brooke improved its season record to 15-9. The Bruins are set to compete against Toronto on Thursday.
