Ohios oil and gas industry partners with Toys for Tots

Toronto, OHLocal News

Ohio's oil and gas industry partners with the Marine Corps Toys for Tots Program for its 12th-annual toy distribution days, aiming to support families in eight Eastern Ohio counties this December. Major players like Williams, Gulfport Energy, and Ascent Resources are involved in the initiative, which relies on local donations from churches, businesses, and individuals. Families must register online by December 1 to participate, ensuring they receive toys during the event. Mike Chadsey, of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association, noted the industry's responsibility to assist families facing hardships during the holidays. Over the years, the partnership has fostered a strong community spirit, with Deb Oberlin highlighting the generosity of the participating companies.

The toy delivery truck is sponsored by Energy Transfer, with fuel provided by Blackrock Resources. Scheduled distribution events will take place across various counties, providing families a chance to select their toys. This initiative not only brings joy to children but also reinforces the importance of community support during challenging times.
