Steubenville spreading holiday cheer

Toronto, OHLocal News

Steubenville High School's Operation Holiday Cheer aims to assist families in the Steubenville City School District during the Christmas season. The program, previously known as Stuff the Bus, is directed by Jackie Reeves and school counselor Adele Filtz, who anticipate helping dozens of families this year. Community members can contribute at various sponsorship levels, including $25 for Gingerbread, $50 for Elf, and $100 for Rudolph, or opt to fulfill an entire family's wish list as Santa. Donations are due by Wednesday, but organizers are flexible with late contributions. Sponsors can choose to support specific students, with the option for public recognition or anonymity.

Gift distribution is planned to ensure families receive assistance before the holiday. This initiative showcases community solidarity and generosity during a time often marked by financial strain for many. For additional information, the high school can be reached at (740) 282-9741.
