Church women donate
The Weirton Chapter of Church Women United gathered at Shiloh Apostolic Church for its World Community Day meeting, themed "I Want to Be a Follower of Christ. " Nine women from six area churches participated, enjoying a luncheon provided by the church's women. Diane Pastoric presented healthy snacks to Kim Weaver of the Weirton Christian Center, showcasing the group's dedication to community service. The next meeting is scheduled for December 5 at St. Thomas Church and will feature a Christmas luncheon, encouraging broader participation.
This event illustrates the importance of local church organizations in fostering community connections and charitable actions. Diane Pastoric's donation reflects a growing trend among church groups to actively support local charities. The involvement of multiple churches signifies a collaborative approach to community outreach. Such events not only address immediate needs but also strengthen the bonds among local congregations.
