Four chosen to serve after Wintersville Council election results

Wintersville voters re-elected four council incumbents in a closely contested election, with Bob Merriman receiving 588 votes. The other elected officials include Carmen DeStefano, Randy Spence, and Jason Mattern, who garnered 541, 537, and 521 votes, respectively. A total of 2,703 voters participated, as reported by the Jefferson County Board of Elections. Merriman, who will begin his fifth term, emphasized the need for local infrastructure improvements and urged state officials to allocate tax revenue from marijuana dispensaries to municipalities. DeStefano expressed gratitude for voter support and commitment to further village progress.
