Students helping students
Criminal Justice students engaged with forensics students at the Jefferson County Vocational School, providing practical lessons on fingerprints, wounds, and evidence collection. Darrell Dunbar demonstrated bone identification to students Chloee McCartney and Gianna Roderique. At the same time, Delaney O’Brien explained fingerprint analysis to Isaiah Rangel and Camden Scardina. This interactive experience enhances the learning process for students pursuing careers in criminal justice and forensics. The hands-on approach allows students to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world contexts, crucial for their future roles in the justice system.
Educational collaborations like this are essential for preparing students for the complexities of forensic investigations. As crime-solving techniques evolve, such initiatives ensure that students are well-equipped with current knowledge and skills. This program reflects a commitment to fostering practical education in the local community.
