In a commanding performance, Madonna's volleyball team defeated Cameron in the Class A Region 1 quarterfinals, winning all three sets with scores of 25-14, 25-12, and 25-5. The match commenced late due to an earlier five-set play-in game, but Madonna maintained focus and momentum. Head coach Jae Hissam commended the squad for their hard work throughout the season and their ability to refocus after a lengthy wait. Geena Birkhimer led the Blue Dons with 12 kills, while Sophie Brady contributed significantly with 27 assists. The victory improved Madonna's season record to 25-9-1, advancing them to the regional semifinals on Thursday at home.

They will compete against the winner of the match between Trinity Christian and Magnolia. Meanwhile, Cameron will rematch Clarksburg Notre Dame in the loser’s bracket. Hissam expressed confidence in his team's performance and hopes they can continue their success in the tournament.
