The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County announced its upcoming activities for the week of Nov. 2-8, catering to various age groups. Adults can participate in Tai Chi classes and book discussions on Lois Lowry's "The Giver," scheduled for Nov. 4 and 18. For teens, grab-and-go craft bags and a book swap event will be available, promoting literary exchange among participants.

Children can enjoy crafting sessions, including making a football turkey and the character Forky from "Toy Story. " Registration is required for several events, emphasizing the library's focus on organized participation and community involvement. Notably, the library seeks to enhance creativity and literacy through its diverse offerings, which also include play-based learning for younger children. Weirton man sentenced in sexual abuse case

A Weirton man, Joshua Hoit, received a sentence of 30 to 60 years for sexually abusing a child in his care.
