Kelly Dopp and Brooke Barker from John Gregg Elementary School presented their project-based learning program at the Ohio Association for Gifted Children conference in Columbus, attended by over 70 educators. They showcased innovative projects like a living wax museum and "A Circus of Circuits," which combines art and science. Dopp highlighted the professional development opportunity that allowed them to teach adults about their successful program. The enrichment program serves 30-40 students in grades 2-6 and incorporates Project Lead the Way modules to encourage problem-solving related to real-world issues. Since their presentation, Dopp and Barker have received numerous inquiries from educators interested in their methods.

Bordash, the Edison Local School District Gifted Coordinator, praised their session's popularity and the valuable strategies shared. The program's initiatives, funded in part by a $4,000 Toshiba America Foundation Grant, have made a significant impact on student learning and engagement. The district continues to support these innovative educational approaches.
