The win propels the Crusaders to the district semifinals against No. 3 seed Tuscarawas Valley. Head coach Steve Kopcha emphasized the necessity of scoring first, a strategy effectively executed by Santi Descazlo, who netted two goals. The Crusaders dominated the match with 20 shots on goal, while Monroe Central only managed one, which was a penalty kick that hit the crossbar.
