Franciscan University of Steubenville ranks 25th in the U. S. News & World Report's Best Colleges guide for Regional Universities in the Midwest, climbing three spots from 28th place. The university also advanced in social mobility, moving from 36th to 28th, highlighting its effectiveness in supporting students awarded Pell Grants. Rev.

Dave Pivonka, the university's president, emphasized the significance of this progress, noting the vibrant academic atmosphere and commitment to Catholic values. With an 85 percent first-year retention rate and a 74 percent graduation rate, Franciscan exceeds national averages. The university's record enrollment for the 11th consecutive year reflects strong demand for its programs. Recent enhancements, including the renovated Christ the King Chapel and new academic facilities, have bolstered its reputation. The chapel now accommodates 590 students, nearly doubling its seating capacity, while the new academic hall supports engineering, business, and nursing students.

These developments solidify Franciscan's position as a leading institution in the Midwest.
