Millsop project continues

Toronto, OHLocal News

The Millsop Community Center is undergoing structural repairs to its south wall, targeting a mid-October reopening for the indoor swimming pool. Grae-Con Construction is leading the efforts, which involve stabilizing the wall and replacing the pool ceiling. Parks Executive Director Coty Shingle highlighted that the pool's closure has led to reduced activity at the center. Although repairs are advancing, delivery delays for materials may impact the project timeline. The project has roots dating back to 2018, with work officially starting in 2021 due to prior façade issues.

Alongside the wall repairs, a new rooftop air unit has been installed to control humidity. Other projects include new restroom facilities at Marland Heights Park and playground renovations at Starvaggi Memorial Park. These developments are part of a broader initiative by the Park Board to enhance local facilities.
