Lets look at all energy options

Toronto, OHLocal News

Ohio lawmakers confront potential energy shortages due to the growing demand from data centers and server farms, which are critical for economic development but offer few jobs. State Rep. Roy Klopfenstein proposed House Bill 427, allowing utilities to manage energy consumption by adjusting thermostats and scheduling appliance use during peak demand. He warned that without new energy sources, Ohio could face rolling blackouts. While this bill provides a temporary fix, the state has not made significant strides in diversifying its energy portfolio.

Klopfenstein’s remarks highlight the urgency of exploring all available energy options. A comprehensive plan could help stabilize Ohio's energy supply and attract more businesses. Lawmakers must prioritize this issue when they reconvene. A diversified energy approach will benefit both the economy and residents.
