Rescue Them All Bar Crawl planned

Toronto, OHLocal News

The Jefferson County Humane Society will host the Rescue Them All Pup Crawl on October 4, aiming to raise funds for the care of hundreds of animals in their shelter and foster homes. Development Manager Brandi DeNoon-Damewood noted that every animal receives necessary medical care, which can be financially burdensome for the nonprofit that relies solely on community support and grants. The fundraiser will run from noon to 5 p. m. , with participants visiting local establishments like Texas Roadhouse and 3 Bad Hombres.

Tickets are priced at $25 and include a $20 food voucher, access to giveaways, and participation in trivia games. The shelter has seen an increase in serious medical cases over the past two years, underscoring the need for continued funding. DeNoon-Damewood expressed the goal of replenishing medical funding and expanding outreach programs. Local businesses are being asked to sponsor the event, with options starting at $100 for name recognition and up to $500 for prominent sponsorship benefits. This initiative aims to improve the lives of animals that have faced abuse or neglect, fostering a community of care and empathy.
