Follansbee Swim Team secured the Ohio Valley Swim League Championship by amassing 3,148 points, marking a notable achievement for the local athletes. In addition to the championship, the team also claimed victories at the Cindy Smith Invitational and Martins Ferry Aquatic Club Invitational, while finishing second in the Sprint Splash. The Follansbee Council recognized the team during a meeting, where coaches Lou Harvath and Shelby Ferrell were present alongside the swimmers. Key point earners included Alekos Cole, Cooper Williams, and Tessa Metzger, showcasing the talent within the team. Mayor Scott McMahon and several Council members attended, underscoring local support for youth sports.
