Second Saturday to feature Sounds of Summer

The Top of West Virginia Convention and Visitors Bureau invites the community to “Second Saturday: Sounds of Summer” at the Weirton Event Center, starting at noon on Saturday. Activities include an outdoor yoga session, with a $10 registration fee online or $15 at the event, welcoming participants of all skill levels. A cornhole tournament kicks off at 1 p. m. , charging $20 per team and promising cash prizes for the top three teams.

Attendees can explore a variety of vendors, food trucks, and live music throughout the day, with performances from Joshua Garrett and 1980’s cover band Ridgemont High. The event promotes local engagement and supports community organizations through a 50/50 drawing for Madonna High School and a dunk tank benefiting the Oak Glen Football Boosters. A Car Cruze showcasing classic cars will also take place at 5 p. m. Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs for a comfortable experience.
