The Sycamore Youth Center and Steubenville High School will host a much-needed blood drive on August 12 from 9 a. m. to 2 p. m. in the high school gymnasium.

Those who donate before August 28 will receive a $15 e-gift card, while successful donors will also get free A1C diabetes testing. Bobbyjon Bauman, executive director of Sycamore, highlighted the drive as a crucial opportunity for the community to come together and support local healthcare needs. Principal Aaron Newman hopes to see strong attendance from students and families at the event. Sharon Kesselring, a Red Cross area representative, stressed that every two seconds, someone in the U.
