Woman arrested after taking bus

Toronto, OHLocal News

Tina M. Renner, 39, from Pittsburgh, was charged with grand larceny after allegedly taking a Weirton Transit bus for a spin. On Saturday, she reportedly stole food and drinks from a gas station before commandeering the bus and driving it around a parking lot. The driver of the bus confronted her, leading Renner to flee through an emergency exit. A passenger on the bus expressed fear for his safety, noting Renner laughed while claiming she would drive the bus to Butler County.

Police arrested her later in the 4100 block of Washington Street without incident. Further investigation revealed Renner had an outstanding warrant for a probation violation in Pennsylvania. Her actions raise concerns about public safety and the proper handling of transit vehicles. Renner's case remains pending in Brooke County Magistrate Court.
