The Conroe Independent School District Board of Trustees took a significant step by approving the Superintendent Search Plan, which launches the process of finding a new district leader. A preliminary Candidate Profile and Search Timeline will evolve through community input gathered by Texans for Excellence in Education. TEE will hold four in-person forums and distribute surveys to gather insights from various stakeholders, including students and families. TEE President John Petree highlighted the community-informed approach, expressing optimism about attracting exceptional candidates.

The application period is open until July 18, 2025, at 5 p. m. CST, encouraging interested individuals to review the Candidate Profile and application instructions. This leadership transition is pivotal for the district, which serves a diverse student population. Engaging the community in this process underscores the board's commitment to selecting a leader who aligns with the district's values and goals.
