Gunman detained by bystanders after injuring 3 at Woodlands-area pub, MCSO says

Three individuals were injured in a shooting at Goose's Acre Pub in Montgomery County, Texas, early Sunday morning. Authorities received multiple calls about the incident shortly after midnight, prompting deputies to respond. Upon arrival, they discovered two men, aged 31 and 29, and a 27-year-old woman with gunshot wounds, who were aided by witnesses before being taken to a hospital for treatment. The suspect, identified as 27-year-old Calvin Rudi Sanders, was detained by bystanders until law enforcement arrived and also required medical attention for his injuries. Investigators indicated that the motive for the shooting stemmed from a verbal altercation that escalated when Sanders drew a handgun.

Captain Rhyan Droddy described the scene as "very wide," highlighting the ongoing investigation. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office is urging anyone with additional information to come forward. Such incidents raise concerns about public safety and the need for effective conflict resolution measures in community spaces.
