Woodforest Charitable Foundation marks 20 years of impact with over 41 million in donations to charities

Woodforest Charitable Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary with a luncheon where it awarded over $6. 2 million to 220 nonprofits. This year, $1. 5 million of those funds were specifically directed to 56 local charities in Montgomery and Harris County. Established in 2005 by Woodforest National Bank, the foundation has contributed more than $41 million to charitable causes across 17 states.

Its funding supports essential services like hunger relief, healthcare, education, and mental health initiatives. During the event, Executive Vice President Kim Marling recognized the critical role that charities play in transforming lives and alleviating community challenges. Over 140 attendees, including charity representatives and bank executives, attended the gathering to celebrate the foundation's impact. Marling expressed profound gratitude for the collaboration that has fostered enduring change in the communities served. The foundation continues its legacy of charitable giving through annual endowment gifts from its primary donor, Woodforest National Bank.
