Officer involved shooting after Shenandoah Traffic Stop under investigation

A traffic stop on May 30, 2025, turned violent in South Montgomery County when the driver of a white Jaguar fled from deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The pursuit involved Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers and concluded on the on-ramp to FM 1488, where officers deployed tire deflation devices. After the suspect exited the vehicle armed with a firearm, a deputy shot him multiple times. Additional law enforcement units arrived to provide emergency medical care, and the suspect was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical but stable condition. The incident prompts an investigation by the MCSO Major Crimes Unit, Crime Scene, Montgomery County DA’s Office, and the Texas Rangers.
