Sheriffs Office investigating disturbance involving assault and gunfire in The Woodlands

Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a reported fight at Sawmill Park in The Woodlands on May 7, 2025, at approximately 4:10 p. m. During the altercation, a female victim was assaulted, and a firearm was displayed. The victims returned to their home on Berryfrost Lane, where the suspects involved later arrived, leading to another disturbance and gunfire being discharged. Fortunately, no one was injured in either incident, and the suspects fled the scene.

Detectives are working to identify the suspect who discharged the firearm, a black male, and are seeking assistance from the public. The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office encourages anyone with relevant information to contact them or submit anonymous tips. This ongoing investigation highlights concerns regarding public safety and gun violence in the area. The community's cooperation could be crucial in resolving the case and ensuring accountability.
