Habitat MCTX and LMC dedicate Jim Schulze Family Park to Cedar Park Community
On April 12, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery County, TX, and Leadership Montgomery County Class of 2025 officially opened Jim Schulze Family Park, a dedicated space for families in Cedar Creek, Conroe. This park, realized through a collaborative service project, aims to create a welcoming environment for family gatherings and community engagement. Named in honor of Dr. Jim Schulze, the founder of Habitat MCTX, the park embodies his enduring vision for affordable homeownership and community development. Attendees of the ribbon-cutting ceremony included Habitat leadership, LMC Class of 2025 members, and local homeowners, all united in their commitment to neighborhood transformation.
Since its inception in 1989, Habitat MCTX has been dedicated to improving lives through affordable housing, mobilizing volunteers and donors to build strength and self-reliance among families. The park serves not just as a recreational area but as a symbol of collaboration and community spirit. The event underscores the importance of local partnerships in enhancing community well-being and fostering a sense of belonging. By volunteering or contributing resources to Habitat MCTX, community members can continue to support these vital initiatives.
