Women Empowering Women Luncheon Philanthropy Market benefits Interfaith Community Clinic

The 11th Annual Women Empowering Women event, held on April 3 at The Peach Orchard, successfully raised nearly $185,000 for the Interfaith Community Clinic. The luncheon and Philanthropy Shopping Market featured almost 30 vendors from across Texas, showcasing women-owned businesses. Guests enjoyed a gourmet lunch provided by Amerigo’s Grille, followed by a program that shared patient stories and emphasized the clinic's vital services. Mrs. Belinda Lewis, affectionately known as Bea, received the Volunteer Who Cares award for her unwavering commitment to the clinic since 2010.

Dr. Kerrie Guerrero, Chief Nursing Officer at Houston Methodist The Woodlands, was honored with the Woman Who Cares award for her leadership and support. Missy Herndon, the clinic’s President and CEO, highlighted Guerrero's dedication, noting her active involvement in various community events. The event attracted over 350 attendees, reinforcing the community's commitment to supporting vital healthcare services. Proceeds from the event directly benefit the clinic, which has been serving the uninsured population of Montgomery County since 1996.
