Conroe ISD ranked among Americas Best Large Employers by Forbes for second straight year

Conroe ISD has proudly earned a spot on Forbes' 10th Anniversary list of America’s Best Employers for 2025, ranking 69th among 700 large employers and standing out as the highest-ranked school district. It is also the eighth-ranked employer in Texas, coming ahead of prominent companies such as H-E-B and Southwest Airlines. The district serves over 73,000 students across 71 campuses, marking it as the largest school district in Montgomery County and one of the fastest-growing in Texas, with an annual enrollment growth of about 2,500 students. Conroe ISD employs over 10,000 staff members and is recognized for its competitive salaries and commitment to professional development. The rankings were derived from an extensive survey evaluating factors like working conditions, salary, mental health benefits, and diversity in management.

Conroe ISD previously ranked 37th on Forbes’ 2024 list and has consistently received accolades for being one of the best employers in Texas. This recognition underscores the district's dedication to fostering a positive work environment while ensuring quality education for its students. The achievement not only highlights the district's internal culture but also its significant role within the community.
