Blue Fox Vine Removal

The Woodlands, TXLocal News

The Woodlands Township is launching a Vine Removal Project to enhance forest health in the community, specifically targeting areas along Grogan’s Mill Road. Certified Arborists have determined that invasive vines pose significant threats to local trees, such as increased mortality rates and stunted growth due to sunlight blockage. These vines compete for essential resources, leading to unhealthy conditions for the ecosystem. The project will involve the systematic removal of these invasive plants, with plans to plant 15- and 30-gallon trees as a part of the reforestation effort. By addressing these issues, the Township aims to improve the overall resilience and health of the forest.

Community cooperation is appreciated during this undertaking, as it is essential for maintaining a thriving environment for both residents and wildlife. The Township encourages residents to voice any questions or concerns they may have about the project. For more information, residents can contact the Township directly.
