New Location For Shred Day

The Woodlands, TXLocal News

The Woodlands Township will host a Shred Day on April 19, 2025, from 8 a. m. to noon at The Recreation Center at Rob Fleming Park, offering residents a secure way to dispose of sensitive documents. This initiative is designed to protect personal data from identity theft while promoting environmental sustainability by diverting waste from landfills. Residents are invited to bring their unwanted and confidential documents, with the added incentive of contributing to the community by donating five non-perishable food items or $5 per box of documents.

All donations will directly support the Interfaith of The Woodlands Food Pantry, highlighting the event's charitable focus. The event features a full-service drive-thru, ensuring a safe and convenient experience for participants. Guidelines recommend refraining from using binder clips and packing documents in boxes for easy access. Shred Day not only helps residents declutter their homes but also fosters community spirit and environmental consciousness. This event illustrates The Woodlands Township’s commitment to enhancing the quality of life for its residents while addressing important issues like privacy and sustainability.
