Sawmill Road Closure due to Hailey Elementary School improvement project March 8 to 15

The Woodlands, TXLocal News

Montgomery County Pct. 3 Commissioner Ritch Wheeler’s Office has announced a significant road closure affecting Sawmill Road from March 8 to March 15. This closure is part of the ongoing improvement project at Hailey Elementary School, which includes essential upgrades to storm sewer facilities located beneath the road. To minimize disruption for the three nearby schools, the contractor will limit through traffic during the Spring Break period. Local residents, businesses, and churches will still have access, but some traffic pattern adjustments will be necessary.

Detour signage will be prominently displayed to help guide drivers around the affected areas. The project aims to ensure that all construction and repaving work is completed by March 15, allowing for the reopening of lanes before students return to school on March 17. This proactive approach aims to mitigate traffic issues while enhancing infrastructure for the community. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly and utilize the detour routes provided.
