Interfaith of The Woodlands announced the 2026 Hometown Heroes, who will be recognized at the Celebration of Excellence Gala on February 13, 2026. This year’s honorees include Jim Carman, Laran Cone, Elvira Graham and Lonny Soza, Michelle Little, John Powers, the nonprofit In the Pink of Health, and Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital. Linsey Bibler will chair the event, which is presented by Woodforest National Bank and Huntsman. Nominations were accepted from the public and reviewed by a selection committee of past Hometown Heroes, highlighting the community's involvement in recognizing local leaders. Interfaith will showcase each Hero’s contributions in the months leading up to the gala, emphasizing their alignment with Mr.

George P. Mitchell’s vision for the community. The gala is one of the organization’s largest annual fundraisers, supporting essential programs for families and seniors in South Montgomery County. The event will take place at The Woodlands Towers, which was transformed by local businesses for the occasion. This celebration underscores the community’s appreciation for those who exemplify leadership and service.
