Montgomery County Food Bank launches Holiday Helpings Food and Funds Drive

The Woodlands, TXLocal News

Montgomery County Food Bank launches its Holiday Helpings Food & Funds Drive from November 1 through December 31, 2025, to combat food insecurity during the holiday season. The campaign invites local businesses, schools, and individuals to contribute food and funds, addressing the increased need for assistance. Families often struggle with higher expenses during the holidays, and the ongoing federal government shutdown has exacerbated this issue, resulting in a surge of requests for food assistance. Participants can host funds drives, benefiting from custom donation pages, or collect essential food items through food drives, with a friendly competition for creativity. “Holiday Helpings is our community’s way of reminding neighbors facing hunger that they’re not alone,” said Kristine Marlow, President & CEO of Montgomery County Food Bank.

The Food Bank's most needed items include canned vegetables, healthy snacks, and cereals, among others. This community initiative not only aims to provide meals but also fosters a sense of hope and unity. Montgomery County Food Bank continues to partner with various organizations to ensure everyone has access to nutritious food.
