Da de los Muertos Celebration returns to City Place with music, dance, and culture

The Día de los Muertos Celebration returns to City Place Plaza on November 1 from 4:00 to 8:00 p. m. This vibrant, family-friendly event is free and showcases Latino culture through live music, dance performances, and craft activities. Attendees can enjoy Azteca dance, mariachi music, and Latin variety bands, culminating in an encore performance by Shekere. For the second consecutive year, City Place partners with ALMAAHH to honor Latino heritage in the Greater Houston area.

The celebration includes opportunities for guests to contribute to a community altar, enhancing cultural engagement. Visitors can explore a mercado featuring unique vendors, craft activations, and photo stations adorned with colorful décor. The event aims to foster community connections while honoring the traditions of Día de los Muertos. Local residents are encouraged to participate in meaningful activities that celebrate the lives of their loved ones.
