Former Memorial Hermann employee accused of hiding cameras in bathrooms, recording multiple people
Robert Pinon Shrader, a 41-year-old former employee of Memorial Hermann's The Woodlands campus, was arrested for allegedly installing hidden cameras in public bathrooms. The Montgomery County Sheriff's Office charged him with invasive visual recording after the cameras were discovered by engineers during HVAC maintenance on August 21. Hospital security found footage of Shrader hiding the camera and recording multiple people, including hospital staff, in compromising situations. Local resident Daniel Bonilla expressed alarm over the incident, particularly regarding the safety of children in the area. Memorial Hermann condemned Shrader's behavior, stating it violated trust and emphasized their commitment to privacy and safety.
Following the incident, the hospital terminated Shrader and conducted security sweeps across its facilities. Online records indicate that Shrader's bond is set at $5,000 per charge. The investigation revealed over 308 videos and images related to the hidden cameras.
