National Nonprofit Petco Love Invests in Operation Pets Alive to Save and Improve the Lives of Pets in Montgomery County

Petco Love awarded a $10,000 grant to Operation Pets Alive to bolster its lifesaving work for pets in Montgomery County. This funding is part of a larger $12 million investment aimed at empowering local animal organizations across the country. Susanne Kogut, the president of Petco Love, stated that their goal is to create a future where no pet is unnecessarily euthanized. Rebecca Forbes, Vice President of Operation Pets Alive, highlighted the organization's all-volunteer structure, ensuring every dollar goes directly to helping pets. Since 2011, Operation Pets Alive has successfully placed 14,000 dogs and 6,000 cats into loving homes.

The organization also promotes adoption, fostering, and spay/neuter programs to combat pet overpopulation. Petco Love collaborates with over 4,000 organizations to facilitate pet adoptions, having helped over 7 million pets find homes.
