The Woodlands Children’s Museum will host its biannual Children’s Book Week from November 4-7, featuring activities designed to instill a passion for reading in children. Angela Colton, Executive Director, highlights the museum’s commitment to literacy, stating, “reading, rhyming, singing, and talking are the basic building blocks for learning language. ” Events include Rhyme Time and Picture Book Boogie, where children engage in music and movement inspired by popular picture books. On November 5, attendees can read to therapy dogs from Pets with a Mission and enjoy a presentation of "The Snowy Day" by Houston Grand Opera. The celebration culminates on November 7 with an author visit from Joy Saxton, who will share her book “Joy and the Far Away Land.

” Tickets are priced at $9 for guests over one year old, while museum members can attend for free. The week of events aims to foster literacy and community connections through the joy of reading. The museum is located in Panther Creek Village Center in The Woodlands, Texas.
